"Are you ready? Let's Roll!" It's the immortal words

Todd Beamer used before he and fellow passengers took action against terrorist on September 11, 2001 to regain control of United Airlines flight 93. With the knowledge of earlier attacks against the United States, using similar airplanes, Todd Beamer knew something had to be done to keep this airplane from reaching its intended target.

Although it is not clear what actions Mr. Beamer and other freedom fighters took that fateful morning, the resutlts of their actions brought the First victory in our nations's war against terrorism. Untold lives on the ground were saved!

Todd Beamer sacrificed his life s that others may live.

His heroic actions and selfless sacrifice shall forever remind the men and women of USS SALVOR ARS-52 that Honor, Courage, and Commitment are sentiments echoed not only through the passageways of our ship, but through the very people that make our Country the fabric of Democracy around the world.

It is with American Pride, Naval Honor, and SALVOR Spirit that we dedicate our mess decks, in memory of Todd M. Beamer, the "LET'S ROLL CAFE" March 18, 2002
